HB is starting a new job as a pharmacy intern at a retail pharmacy. HB must notify the Board about the new job within how many days of initial employment?
Arizona requires the Board to be notified within 10 days of starting work as a pharmacy intern. Changes in employer, employer address, home address, or contact information must also be updated with the Board.
Federal pharmacy law
A patient just home from the hospital with a broken leg can't come to the pharmacy to pick up a Schedule II prescription that's already on file. They ask whether the pharmacy can mail it to their house. How should the pharmacist respond?
Federal rules allow pharmacies to mail controlled substances, including Schedule II, to the patient when packaging and shipping requirements are met. The drug name must not be shown on the outer package.
