How many prescription medications must be included on the Drug Retail Price List sign that is posted in every pharmacy?
Each pharmacy must post a Drug Retail Price List for the 150 most frequently prescribed medications, showing the retail price for common quantities, the price per unit, and the date the list was last updated.
Federal pharmacy law
A patient just home from the hospital with a broken leg can't come to the pharmacy to pick up a Schedule II prescription that's already on file. They ask whether the pharmacy can mail it to their house. How should the pharmacist respond?
Federal rules allow pharmacies to mail controlled substances, including Schedule II, to the patient when packaging and shipping requirements are met. The drug name must not be shown on the outer package.
